Ōtepatotu Halo Project

The combined community block of 120 hectares is significant because it contains old growth thin-barked totara forest, montane mixed hardwood forest and extensive areas of diverse regenerating shrubland and forest. The site buffers and ecologically connects to Ōtepatotu Scenic Reserve and nearby private conservation land.
