- This is an East Mohua Trapping Collective project. They are a group of trapping groups and individuals in East Mohua working together and led by Project De-Vine Environmental Trust (PDVET). Its aim is to assist Abel Tasman National Park and Golden Bay native bird recovery by keeping predator populations as low as possible. The long term plan is to steadily establish predator control at as many sites as possible. The total area of East Mohua is nearly 9000ha and is from the Takaka River to Wainui and along the Abel Tasman National Park boundary to the Rameka River area and joining to the Paynes Ford Trapping group beside the Takaka River. By supporting this project as a volunteer, or by donations to this project, via the pdvet.org.nz website, you are helping to make this vision a reality. With funding increasingly difficult to secure the more direct support we have the better.
